As a mainframe developer, you will enhance and support the core applications that are used to run our business. This is a flexible, work from anywhere position.
Responsibilities:
Support a suite of mainframe applications and batch processes that are primarily built using COBOL on z/OS. Troubleshoot business logic and performance issues in existing mainframe applications. Enhance existing mainframe applications to fix bugs or add new functionality. Plan, execute, and troubleshoot application changes. Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24x7 support for key applications. Minimum
Qualifications:
Engineering degree, related technical discipline or equivalent work experience. A solid foundation in procedure programming using COBOL. Experience with mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, Db2, and JCL. Experience working with enterprise scheduling software (CA Workload Automation ESP preferred). Experience working with enterprise source code management tools (CA Endevor preferred). Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience troubleshooting and tuning database queries using SQL. Experience working in an agile environment using the Scrum Framework. Experience refactoring large applications to improve performance and/or resilience. Experience integrating mainframe components with Java applications. Experience with REXX and sort utilities such as Syncsort.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
