This position supports the Payroll Compliance Manager with wage law, tax and garnishment compliance associated with payroll for approximately 20,000 domestic team members at Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International.
The role also provides audit support, vendor management of ADP for tax and garnishments, tax and garnishment reconciliation.
The position requires strong communications skills and the ability to foster relationships at all levels by establishing and working collaboratively with Operations, HR, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS, Finance, Tax and Treasury.
As the organization grows, the position will expand to support global payroll compliance as well.
Responsibilities:
Supports payroll tax related reporting at the Federal, State and local levels including worker's compensation for monopolistic states.
Supports projects to set-up outsourced services for acquired organizations in our current systems and with our vendors Assist with setting up tax locations in Payroll system and ADP Tax (via Smart Compliance).
Maintains all payroll tax reporting records and supports audits in an organized and accessible manner.
Responsible for reconciling all payroll tax payments for timeliness and accuracy, including daily payments made by ADP.
Responsible for reconciling all garnishment payments for timeliness and accuracy, including daily payments made by ADP Responsible for garnishment set-up in Infinium and ADP (via Smart Compliance), including but not limited to, receiving and disseminating wage attachment orders to the appropriate internal teams to get legal authorization to establish the orders in our systems Assist with updating all systems annually or as needed to reflect current tax rates and thresholds.
Analyzes documents from federal, state, and municipal tax agencies and our payroll processing partners to support researching and resolving payroll tax and accounting matters.
Supports Payroll Compliance Manager with all correspondence with payroll taxing authorities on behalf of SGA and HRI and our payroll processing partners.
Supports detail-oriented tax audit procedures and with direction, works directly with external auditors for audits of quarterly payroll tax reporting.
Interacts with the accounting and payroll divisions to assist in the identification, analysis and resolution of tax accounting matters.
Applies knowledge to the continued use of existing technology to increase department efficiency, streamline the monthly close process, and improve the tax and accounting processes.
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment in both our physical location as well as remotely as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field of study.

years of payroll tax and/or garnishment experience Ability to team and collaborate in cross functional environment.
Continuous improvement experience.
Certified Payroll Profession (CPP), or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation preferred, but not required Highly analytic approach to identifying causes and drivers of issues and developing value-driven solutions.
Microsoft Office proficiency Work Environment:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
