Summary:
We are seeking a versatile Warehouse Associate (with a passion to learn some mechanical functions on the side) to join our dynamic marine engineering team.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for handling various tasks within the warehouse and inventory management.
Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to develop mechanical skills through hands-on learning, making it an ideal fit for someone interested in mechanics.
When the warehouse work is slow, you may be able to get hands-on in some marine repair work and build your skillset.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accurate quantities and quality of products.
Organize and maintain warehouse space.
Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records Mechanical Learning:
Collaborate with the mechanical team to observe and learn repair and maintenance tasks on marine engineering equipment when there is time.
Requirements:
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to maintain a well-organized warehouse.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Demonstrated interest in learning mechanical work and a willingness to acquire new skills in this area.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Safety Conscious:
Prioritize safety and adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Adaptability:
Flexibility to adapt to changing warehouse needs and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
Prior experience in mechanical work is beneficial.
