Position OverviewThe Vendor Payment Analyst is responsible for performing various tasks that are associated, but not limited to processing and analysis of expense-related transactions.
This includes verifying fees for accuracy, processing payments and conducting expense audits.
The following are the usual, basic, and essential functions of the position.

Essential Job Functions Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling legal / litigation invoices Analyze and resolve complex billing issues Audit vendor accounts for accuracy and efficiency Collaborating with internal and external customers to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant expense data Resolve Vendor billing inquires Audit and resolve discrepancies within the processing of payments.
Communicates with other departments and upper management, such as examiners, attorneys, and vendors.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Ability Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Ability to work in fast paced independent environment to meet deadlines.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities Detailed oriented Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
Ability to manage daily workload in a timely manager Comfortable with math and calculations.
Working knowledge of basic insurance and legal terminology.
Must possess a Florida 6-20 Insurance License.
(or obtained within 90 days of hire) Possession of other state licenses as required by management.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
