Description:
Consults with members regarding their exercise program through the administration of a variety of assessment findings Prepares individual exercise prescriptions based on test results.

offices as required.
Presents and participates frequently in classes for the Wellness Center members.
Provides presentations on physiological/instructional aspects of exercise classes in Wellness Center and at offsite locations.
Assists/develops articles for bimonthly member newsletter.
Monitors all aspects of fitness program to assure that quality and the level of resources necessary to fulfill the fitness requirements of members is maintained.
Cleans equipment daily or as required.
Performs all opening and closing procedures for the facility.
Covers for front desk membership staff when necessary.
Demonstrates knowledge in check-in procedures.
Communicates effectively with peers and wellness members.
Answers questions promptly and accurately.
Receives input from members regarding complaints, comments, and suggestions.
Takes appropriate action to assure membership satisfaction.
Displays willingness to participate in activities, as needed or assigned.

Demonstrates positive mental attitude and enthusiasm in approach to all assignments.

Education & Qualifications Required:
Minimum Bachelors Degree or higher in exercise science or related field.
A minimum of 1 year experience with a high volume health and fitness facility and current BLS certification.
Preferred:
Advanced education through college, ACE, AFAA, or ACSM in exercise prescription and /or fitness testing and implementation preferred.
Cardiac rehabilitation experience preferred.
