Evening Shift Description:
Transport patient in the hospital to and from service area via stretcher ,w/chair or bed Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, and care is appropriate to the age of patients served.
Care provided is appropriate for all patients including neonates, pediatrics, adults, or geriatrics.
Transport - Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies to and from various departments in the hospital.
Utilizes several modes of transportation and handles various types of patient equipment.
SAFETY:
Promotes patient safety and a safe environment at all times.
Flexibility - Performs other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by the supervisor or a dispatcher.
Communication - Maintains open lines of communication at all times.
Maintains documentation of all transportation activities and submits to Dispatcher at end of shift.
Equipment - Equipment storage areas are kept neat and orderly.
Assists in equipment maintenance.
Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED.
BLS through the American Heart Association Have good oral communication skills.
