The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) position will involve ensuring the provision of a safe and therapeutic environment for the clients.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year BHT experience preferred.
Two (2) years of experience working in additions/mental health preferred.
Working with the substance abuse population preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Monitor the behavior and activities of clients by patrolling the perimeter and dorms, reporting any concerns to clinical staff regarding the health, safety, or wellbeing of clients.
Provide clients with training or assistance with basic daily living skills such as bathing and grooming as needed.
Provide positive reinforcement and support clients.
Monitors and documents clients' activities, behavior patterns and medication Performs other BHT responsibilities as assigned.
