Residential Heat Pump Engineer
Qualifications:
Must have Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Ocean Engineering. Equivalent degree in mathematics or physics with industry experience would be acceptable.
Must have 3
years of HVAC manufacturing experience including but not limited to - product design, product testing, design for manufacturability, bills of material, applications, troubleshooting.
Must have thorough knowledge of psychometrics, thermodynamics, refrigeration and HVAC controls required.
Responsibilities:
Design, development, verification, application and troubleshooting of water source heat pump equipment.
Duties to include:
Simulation of system performance
Development and evaluation of test plans
Design and selection of system components
Creation of bills of material
Interfacing with factory and sales personnel
Troubleshooting and evaluation of quality issues in HVAC systems.
Commercial Heat Pump Engineer
Qualifications:
Must have Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. Advanced degree can be substituted in place of experience
Must have 3
years Relevant work experience or internship experience
Must have Working experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be a plus
Must have Excellent knowledge of and experience with simulations of refrigerant
circuits, heat exchangers, HVAC system design and applications
Must have Good understanding and knowledgeable of engineering fundamentals such thermodynamics, vapor compression systems, heat pump and refrigerant systems, air conditioning systems, psychometrics, and fan laws.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Design heat pump refrigeration circuit for Ground/water source heat pumps
Primary responsibility involve but not limited to define project plans, task lists, bills of material, test plans, quality plans, and risk assessment.
Provide engineering input to: Requirements Engineering (RE), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Risk Management (RM), Preferred Parts List, New Parts Matrix, Technical Documentation, CAD models, drawings, engineering change management (ECM), electrical circuit wiring diagrams, and refrigeration circuit piping schematics.
Define test plan, sample part matrix, prototype testing, test data analysis and validation of design.
Support agency work such as AHRI, ETL, UL and/or CE.
