Humana is seeking Nurse Practitioner for general medical quality care and treatment to patients within our clinical facilities with the ability to consult with the medical staff:
Provides general medical care and treatment to patients.
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient s condition.
Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Refers patients back to Primary Care Physician for consultation, Palliative Care or Hospice care when appropriate or to other specialized health resources for treatment.
Educates and coaches nursing staff on best nursing practices.

Role Essentials
Masters in Science of Nursing
Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state indicated as the Location above.
Current certification or able to be certified in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical provider.
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of a medical director.
Computer proficiency with knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with electronic health record documentation.
Role Desirables
Certification in Adult Health, Family or Gerontology preferred.
Minimum of two years post-training clinical experience beneficial.
Previous Medicare/Medicaid Experience a plus.
Experience with eClinicalWorks is beneficial.
